I know the G-man looks around

and is constantly scanning for 

the unusual bird.

Golf is more than hitting a little ball,

it is the opportunity to be in nature

that is kept pristine by the greens keepers.

A Drive through Big Bend National Park in West Texas

This is known as "The Window"
The hike to look at the basin through "the window" is 2.5 miles.
It is not a difficult hike, but one must carry water.
Even in winter the air is dry & the hike is somewhat strenuous.

This view is from the area where the lodge is located
and is very rewarding without taking the hike.

The Albuquerque Balloon Festival

My friend just sent this neat photo of the
Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, NM.
It would be fun to get there in early
October to see this.
One must arrive early because that is
when the balloons lift off.

Carolina Low Country

Just before leaving South Carolina to cross over the Savannah River into Georgia, we see the last of the beautiful Carolina Low Country. This is a pretty little farm with a lily pad pond, red barn, and lovely country home.

In a few days the G-man and I will be making another trip to the southeast and will stop in Georgia to visit family.... not far from this farm.
