Golf & the G-man

The golfer scans the surroundings

as he drives

taking in the loveliness around him.

Do you see the moss, the birds, 

the beautiful day?

Do you take time to look around?

or

Are you fixated on the next shot?

I know the G-man looks around

and is constantly scanning for 

the unusual bird.

Golf is more than hitting a little ball,

it is the opportunity to be in nature

that is kept pristine by the greens keepers.

A Drive through Big Bend National Park in West Texas

Nearing Panther Junction

Driving into the Chisos Mountains

This is known as "The Window"
The hike to look at the basin through "the window" is 2.5 miles.
It is not a difficult hike, but one must carry water.
Even in winter the air is dry & the hike is somewhat strenuous.

This view is from the area where the lodge is located
and is very rewarding without taking the hike.

The Albuquerque Balloon Festival

Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, NM.
It would be fun to get there in early
October to see this.
One must arrive early because that is
when the balloons lift off.
