Eiffel Tower is Blue taken from Montmartre, December 2008
Two of my favorite photographs in Paris. I like the image of Montmartre at an angle. Took this as I was walking down the hillside. I love the people standing and looking out over Paris by night with the cobblestones at their feet and a light from a single street lamp. The Eiffel Tower is blue during the Christmas Season. The blue is so deep as to appear almost purple.
Fabulous photographs, not just on this post, but the blog as a whole. Good composition, you obviously have an unerring eye. My first visit - and i loved it.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first one. There's a certain magic in night shots.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Thank you Dave & my Cuban friend. I love taking photographs. It is a challenge to get them just right... to catch the essence of a place.

Hello I am an English lady in FRance; I actually live just 2 1/2 hrs south of Paris, and I loved your photos! I tried walking up the Eiffel Tower many ears ago, and got a panic attack, so never made it! Years later I plucked up the courage to up in the lift- and what a reward the view was!
ReplyDeleteThat top photo is awesome. I love the shades of gray and black and the angle. And the nature vs. manmade. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow! These are such fantastic photos -- have you framed and hung them?! I would! Great vacation photographs
